DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D) PROGRAMME
RELIGIOUS STUDIES
CONDITION FOR GRADUATION
To qualify for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy candidates must complete and pass a minimum of 15 units made up from the following (i) Compulsory Courses (ii) and Specialization Courses. Register two courses (2) Compulsory Courses in General Religious Studies and three Courses in the Specialized Area (3 credit units each) and pass same with at least a C grade. Register and present 3 Departmental Seminars (3 credits each) in the discipline and Pass same with at least a C grade, present a mandatory Ph.D proposal at the Department, Faculty and School of Postgraduate Studies. Present a well researched dissertation; defend the dissertation at an oral examination before a panel of Examiners as stipulated by the SPS.
